In addition to its rich curriculum, The Long Ridge School offers a variety of extra-curricular and after-school activities in which students learn new hobbies and skills and participate in sports and visual and performing arts activities.
Each Friday morning, children in nursery through grade five gather in the school's Big Room to share music, poetry, school news and to review the week's accomplishments. Occasionally visiting artists, such as chamber players, jazz musicians, parents and dramatists join assembly to perform for the school.
After assembly, students in grades 2-5 have the opportunity participate in enrichment activities. These sessions, which draw from the expertise and interests of our talented faculty, run for 4-6 weeks and allow students to investigate an area of interest. Recent activities include:
